Our Haku Headbands (Lei Po’o) are made of Ribbon and Hand Polished Kukui Nuts, and can be worn as a Haku Headband, as a Hatband, a Choker Lei or Necklace. Lei Po’o Headbands can be worn for Weddings, Bridal Shower, Hula, Graduations, Birthdays, Anniversary, Sporting events and any occasion that you have.  Best given as a gift to someone to say thank you or show appreciation. Our Hawaiian Haku Headbands (Lei Po’o) are 100% Handmade, approximately 22 ½“ inches in length. With a Ribbon Tie and Hand Polished Kukui Nuts on each end, so the length can be adjusted to be longer, if needed. Although our (Lei Po’o) are very tedious work, we enjoy sharing them and seeing the precious smiles when they are given and received. How we make our Hawaiian Haku Headbands. First we must prepare our Ribbon prior to sewing them together. Each piece of Ribbon that sticks out, is carefully measured and marked by hand. Then we cut by hand into individual pieces. “How many ribbons does each Lei Po’o take?”, you might be thinking. To tell you the truth, I don’t know. I gave up counting after 100 pieces. Next the pieces that were cut are sewn together with the other ribbons. The ends of our Lei Po’o has Ribbon Ties and a Hand Polished Kukui Nuts attached to each end.  Kukui Nuts in Hawaii are grown on a tree, and worn for Protection, Tranquility, Harmony, Peace and Spiritual Strength. Our Haku Headbands (Lei Po’o) can be made with various colors.   Available color choices are: Red and White Blue and White Green and White Purple and White Maroon and White Silver and Ivory Red and Green Blue and Gold Green and Gold Red and Gold Purple and Gold Maroon and Gold Orange and Gold Pink and Maroon Blue and Turquoise Green and Apple Green If you would like a Haku Headband (Lei Po’o) made in a color not listed, please contact us with your info.
